Report #322 from lg3

Then-Current Conditions - 51F / 11C | Clear - 3:53 PM CDT Mar. 11

Well, it seems as though someone else had a challenging weekend - but we can now report a happy ending  (I know, this website is starting to sound like one Harry & Charlie episode after another).

I happened to catch our very own DNR Fish Biologist Frank Pratt making one of his regular guest appearances on the radio Saturday morning.

This week, they had a special remote broadcast.  See, Frank's car had been stolen ... so they had to bring the studio to his home.  Not sure if anyone else here heard the show, but they certainly made the most of a bad situation.  In fact, as I pulled into TMR after the early morning Hayward run - half delirious from the previous night - these guys had me laughing as hard as I safely could after drinking that much coffee.

Anyway, I contacted Frank for an update upon my return.  His reply, in part:

"The good news is that I did get the car back, and it still runs well. I must have sounded like some sort of raving lunatic. I am proud to say that I am an ultra-liberal on nearly all issues, except that I am a couple of ticks left of Nero on crime/punishment!"

So it all worked out in the end....but let that last part be a warning to potential thieves....or anyone breaking DNR law for that matter!

Lar, please keep posting notes on the site. It is a welcomed medicine for those of us suffering from this cabin fever that is going around. I did get some refreshing news though, guy's here in the Quad Cities are catching there limits on the Mississippi in the Moline/Rock Island area. I'll do what I can to send some warm weather up to you guy's.
